Long ago and far away, Laura and I found ourselves in the enchanted land of Mendocino. As we journeyed about—marveling at the bizarre lifeforms we encountered there, we happened upon a poster advertising a play. I noted that the girl in the poster appeared to me to have perfected a pose that I named "The Tongue of a Bird." Laura agreed, and we chortled with great mirth throughout our visit there. This image is my interpretation of "The Tongue of a Bird." I struck this pose a few days ago, and Laura captured it with her Droid X smartphone.
