On this day in history: October 22, 1934 - Notorious bank robber Pretty Boy Floyd dies of multiple gunshot wounds in the back, after a shootout with the FBI at the Conkle Farm in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Born on this day in history: October 22, 1967 - Carlos Mencia (1967 - ) Born in Honduras, comedian Carlos Mencia became a regular performer at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles before earning his own special on HBO. His straightforward stand-up was a hit with audiences, and landed him his own show, "Mind of Mencia" in 2005. He also continues to tour.
