On this day in history: June 15, 1992 - The Supreme Court rules in US v. Alvarez-Machain that it is permissible for America to abduct suspects in foreign countries and smuggle them into the United States for trial, without extradition approval from those other countries.

Born on this day in history: June 15, 1964 - Courteney Cox (1964- ) Born in Birmingham, AL, actress Courteney Cox modeled in New York then became famous as Monica Geller on the TV series "Friends," which ran for 10 years. Her films include "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" (1994) and "Scream" (1996).

The Weekend
The weekend was very serene and restorative—until Laura sprayed catnip on the kitties' scratching post! The cats quickly became feral. My cat, Zeus, is a great devotee of catnip, as evidenced by this photograph!
