    Born on this Day in History: November 1, 1972 - At the age of 16, Australian actress Toni Collette left school and began working with Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art. Her groundbreaking role came as the gawky, ABBA-worshiping heroine in Muriel's Wedding. In 1999, she co-starred with Bruce Willis as the concerned mother.in the blockbuster film The Sixth Sense. In 2009, she began playing the lead role in the United Statues of Tara.






    On this Day in History: November 1, 1994 - A group of South Korean cannibals known as the Chijon Family are sentenced to death for murdering and eating five people. The group was founded in 1993 by ex-convict Kim Ki Hwan and several other prisoners, in solidarity against the wealthy.
