Scripture of the Day: What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? — Romans 8:31-32

The Weekend

The weather was considerably cooler than the previous weekend. It was approximately 15° cooler, in fact. We enjoyed a delicious brown rice and mushroom casserole Saturday. I cooked brown rice, sliced garlic, sliced shallots, sliced white mushrooms, and seasonings in the microwave. I sautéed a large, chicken breast (sliced into thin strips) in extra-virgin olive oil. When the rice was cooked, I incorporated the chicken. It was wonderful. A quantity of leftovers followed Laura to work this morning for her lunch.

Sunday, I created an incredible dinner on the grill: I grilled whole ears of white corn, huge prawns, and succulent Omaha Steaks filets mignon (thank you, Chris!). We enjoyed a bottle of vintage Clos du Bois Cabernet Sauvignon with the meal. It was wonderful.
