On this Day in History: February 24, 1998 - A man "on a mission from God" hijacks a Turkish Airlines jet with 68 on board, claiming to have a bomb in his teddy bear, and attempts to divert it to Iran. Passengers put an end to his plans.






Born on this Day in History: February 24, 1955 - Steven Jobs (1955 - ) California entrepreneur Steve Jobs co-founded Apple Computer in 1976. The company's Apple II computer helped launch the personal computer revolution in 1977. During his time away from the company in 1985, he helped bring Pixar Animation to world fame. He then returned to Apple, ushering in a new era of computing with his 2001 iPod and 2007 iPhone.
