On this day in history: December 30, 1977 - Ted Bundy escapes from a jail in Aspen, Colorado by using a hacksaw. He moves to Chicago, then Michigan, Atlanta, and finally Florida, where he commits a series of grotesque murders.

Born on this day in history: December 30, 1975 - Tiger Woods (1975- ) Born in Cypress, California, golfer Tiger Woods shot to fame after winning the U.S. Masters in 1997, with a record score of 270, becoming the first African-American and the youngest player to do so. In 2003, Woods was voted PGA Tour Player of Year for the fifth successive year.
