    Born on this Day in History: January 10, 1953 - Pat Benatar was born on January 10, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. After high school she married her boyfriend and moved to Virginia. Unhappy with domestic life, they divorced and she moved back to New York. She worked the club scene and found her guitarist and future husband Neil Geraldo. Her second album, Crimes of Passion, made her famous in the 1980s with hits like "Hit Me With Your Best Shot."






    On this Day in History: January 10, 1998 - German psychologist Heidi Fittkau-Garthe was charged in the Canary Islands with a plot of murder-suicide in which 31 cult followers, including five children, were to ingest poison. After the suicides they were to be picked up by spaceship for an unspecified destination.
