    Born on this Day in History: January 3, 1978 - Kimberley Locke was born in Hartsville, Tennessee. She was 24 years old when she auditioned successfully for the second season of "American Idol." She made a hugely successful run on the show and ended up placing third. She released her debut album, One Love, in 2004. The album reached No. 16 on the Billboard charts, and the first single, "8th World Wonder," reached No. 49.






    On this Day in History: January 3, 1990 - Manuel Noriega surrenders at the Papal Nunciature. He is brought to Miami and charged with drug trafficking and money laundering.
