    Born on this Day in History: December 12, 1970 - ennifer Connelly is an American actress, appearing in her first film at the age of 11, and nine films by the time she turned 20. Even with her early success, Connelly remained relatively unknown to the general public until the 2000 film Requiem for a Dream. She won an Oscar for her lead role in the 2001 film A Beautiful Mind, and later starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Blood Diamond.






    On this Day in History: December 12, 1989 - Leona Helmsley fined $7 million and sentenced to jail for 21 months for tax evasion. She was also made to serve 900 hours of community service.
