    Born on this Day in History: October 26, 1967 - Keith Urban decided to pursue a solo career in the late 1990s. In 2000, he released his first self-titled solo album. In 2001, he was named Top New Male Vocalist at the CMA Awards. He toured in 2004 and was named CMA's Entertainer of the Year the following year. In 2006 he won his first Grammy. In 2008 he toured and was nominated for Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association.






    On this Day in History: October 26, 1997 - Basketball great Charles Barkley is charged with aggravated battery and resisting arrest after throwing 20-year-old man Jorge Lugo through a plate glass window in an Orlando, Florida dance club. Barkley later tells reporters: "I regret we weren't on a higher floor."
