National Grape Popsicle Day - Today is National Grape Popsicle Day! Weekend Meals - Laura and I enjoyed some splendid meals over the Memorial Weekend! Enjoy - Relax and enjoy these images and videos!

National Grape Popsicle Day is celebrated on May 27 in the United States. The food holiday commemorates the taste, history, and culture of grape-flavored popsicles. Grape popsicles are typically sold with other flavors, including cherry, orange, banana, and root beer. They are available in slow melt and sugar-free alternatives as well.

Grape popsicles are frozen treats which are made using water, a popsicle stick, grape-flavoring (typically Jello or Kool-Aid) and sugar.

Laura and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Casa Ramos Friday evening.

Saturday, Laura produced some wonderful burger patties. I shredded two large Jalapeños and gave a third of this to Laura. She added this to minced garlic, ground sirloin, and various spices and herbs and formed four excellent burger patties.

I mixed the balance of the shredded Jalapeños to shredded white and red cabbage and shredded carrots. I produced a spicy, creamy dressing and mixed well, creating an outstanding cole slaw.

Sunday following service at Harvest Christian Center, friends accompanied us to Casa Ramos. We enjoyed an excellent meal, as always.

Casa Ramos is one of our favorite restaurants. The Corning restaurant is the first Casa Ramos family-owned chain of restaurants.
Monday morning, Laura created some awesome breakfast burritos. She combined grilled and chopped Johnsonville brats, chopped Jalapeños, oven fries, and various spices. She warmed some flour tortillas and rolled them into burritos.

One of these wonderful creations followed me to my office this morning.

No Housework Day, In the News, and Enjoy
No Housework Day - Today is No Housework Day! In the News - They walk among us! Enjoy - Relax and enjoy these images and videos!

No Housework Day is your chance to do anythingexcept housework.

Better still, have someone else do the chores for a day.

There are two ways to celebrate this day:

If you usually do the housework, avoid doing it this day. Instead, kick back and enjoy the day. Relax and do anythingexcept housework.

If you are a spouse or significant other, do the housework for your mate. It gives her (or him) a break from the housework. And, you just might get an appreciation of how much work it takes to keep up the house.

HP Officejet Pro X551dw Wireless Color Inkjet Printer, In the News, and Enjoy
HP Officejet Pro X551dw Wireless Color Inkjet Printer - For several months, the printer on our home LAN has needed new ink cartridges. I determined it would be more judicious to replace the printer. It was an antiquated HP unit that was under $40.00 new, and replacing the cartridges would cost more than this. In the News - They walk among us! Enjoy - Relax and enjoy these images and videos!
I decided it was time to replace the HP 1525n Color Laserjet Printer at my storefront office and move it to our home office.
Following research, I determined the printer I wanted was the HP Officejet Pro X551dw Wireless Color Inkjet Printer. The specifications are incredible, and I was eager to move from laserjet technology to the new inkjet technology.

The new printer arrived Wednesday. I quickly set it up and connected it to my WLAN. The printer is astounding! It boasts a paper tray capacity of 500 sheets and a print speed of up to 70 ppm. It produces professional-quality color prints at less than half the cost of laserjet printers, and does so in less than half the time!

National Cheese Lover's Day, In the News, and Enjoy
National Cheese Lover's Day - Today is National Cheese Lover’s Day! In the News - They walk among us! Enjoy - Relax and enjoy these images and videos!

The average American consumes about 31 pounds of cheese each year. That may seem like a great deal of cheese, but the average for French is 50 pounds per person!

There are more than 900 known cheeses in the world. They are classified by texture. Here are the primary classifications and some examples: fresh cheese (ricotta); soft cheese (feta); semi-soft cheese (Fontina); semi-hard cheese (Gouda); hard cheese (Cheddar); double or triple crème cheese (Brillat-Savarin); blue cheese (Gorgonzola); washed rind cheese (Limburger); and bloomy rind cheese (Brie).

People have been making cheese for at least 8,000 years, so the cheeses we enjoy today are all relatively young by comparison. Take Emmental (also known as Swiss cheese), for example. It has only been around since the first century BC!

Visit your local cheesemonger and pick up your favorite kinds of artisan cheeses or cook a cheesy dish for dinner tonight in honor of National Cheese Lover's Day!
