Born on this Day in History: June 20, 1967 - Nicole Kidman (1967 - ) Raised in Sydney, Australia, Nicole Kidman got her U.S. breakthrough with Dead Calm (1989). A string of international successes followed, including To Die For (1995), Eyes Wide Shut (1999), and The Hours (2002), which earned her an Oscar, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe. In 2003, Kidman received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
