Born on this day in history: November 19, 1926 - Jeane Kirkpatrick (1926 - 2006) diplomat. She was the U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations, 1981; resigned, 1985.

Hometown Christmas was a great successdue, in part, to some incredibly beautiful weather. The weather had been forecast to be foul, cold, and wet, yet it was sunny and glorious. Today, however, is another matter. It is cold, wet, and windy. Oh well, it is appropriate weather for this time of year.
