Here is a recent photograph of Laura’s daughter, Rachel, and granddaughter, Parker. Click to enlarge.

Interestingly, while Laura and I were watching "Beach Patrol San Diego," a riotous encounter between drunken beach-goers and police was taking place on a San Diego beach. There is now renewed interest in banning alcohol from San Diego beaches. This is something we discussed while watching the show. It would seemgiven that the majority of problems on the beaches involve alcoholmany problems would be avoided if alcohol were banned. See the second story in today's news links to read about this beach fracas.

The SD story sure hits close to home. I've said for years they should ban booze on the beach here. Just too many problems all stemming from underage drinking, drunk boating, etc. Lots of it is people getting hurt because they're impaired and lots of it people hurting others. Just not worth it.
Scientology story's a good one. I'm all for that too!
Beautiful girls - Rachel and Parker. What a pair of cuties!

Cap'n,
I am very much in favor of criminal prosecution of Scientology. I find it to be easily one of the most dangerous and powerful entities in the world today. It is evil and must be addressed appropriately.
I am also in favor of banning alcohol on beaches and other public gathering places. It is unfortunate that the actions of a few must dictate that restraints be placed on all, but that is certainly how I see it.
I am certain Laura will agree regarding Rachel and Parker!

Yea about Scientology, cause it's bout time somebody told it like it is, cause those guys are way dangerous mind control criminal freaks and that's putting it nicely I'd say all things considered. I hope they throw the book at the whole lot of them. Good news! I like it!
Riots in San Diego while I was watching that show too, how bout that. And I agree that something's got to be done. There's like one beach cop for every 3000 drunks or whatever, forget exactly what the ratio was they said on the show but it wasn't good. Too much crazy stuff going on. Alcohol's banned on the wall and the other side of the wall so why not just ban it on the beach side of the wall too. Sounds easy enough, cause it's pretty darn obvious they can't control it the way it is, what with minors and fights and all. Too bad but just another case of a few bad apples ruining the whole barrel for everybody else is all.
That drunk mom should get some lockup time for what she did.
That pic's great. Guess you didn't take it huh Laura cause you canceled your trip and all but you're going next weekend (not this weekend but the next one) right? What I thought. Well it's a great pic. Definitely not a cellphone pic that's for sure. Beautiful mom and beautiful baby that's for sure.
Having me a big ole bowl of clam chowder with hot Louisiana sauce and oyster crackers and a Pepsi One. Yum! Eat that apple David.

Cindy,
I just bought some Louisiana Extra Hot Sauce yesterday. I have not tried it yet. Is it good? Is it hot? I always liked the Louisiana Hot Sauce and saw this new version peering out at me from the shelf at the market.

Yes, Cindy -- you are correct! I will be visiting Tucson the 14th, returning the 17th - taking the 18th off as well, though!
