Food, In the News, and Enjoy
Food - Apparently, there shall be no stopping Laura! She determined that she thoroughly enjoys creating highly edible and particularly tasty items for our dining pleasure! In the News - Current events from the underbelly of the Internet! Enjoy - Relax and enjoy these images and videos!
Friday evening, she created yet another of her wonderful pizzas.

She also produced a quantity of stellar Habanero Ginger Jelly. She filled six eight-ounce canning jars with this wonderful nectar. It is hot and sweet and absolutely wonderful.

Laura got the recipe for this delightful condiment here:
Simply So Good
Laura and I highly recommend this site. It offers many wonderful recipes.
Laura snatched a large London Broil from the butcher at the supermarket near our home. She placed it in the freezer. When it had frozen sufficiently to facilitate slicing it, I removed it from the freezer and sliced it with our Chef's Choice meat slicer.

Laura covered it with an excellent marinade she created and placed it in the refrigerator. She turned the meat every two hours to ensure it marinated evenly. The marinade contained a quantity of ground black pepper, red pepper flakes, Pappy's seasoning, granulated garlic, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and lime juice.

Last evening, Laura removed the meat from the marinade, placed it on trays, and processed it with our nine-tray Excalibur dehydrator.

After several hours, the jerky was ready to be removed from the dehydrator and stored.

A thorough tasting of the jerky was requisite, of course, prior to packaging it for storage!
Two thick New York strip steaks currently reside in our refrigeratordelighting in the marinade Laura used on the jerky. These steaks shall be tossed upon the grill this evening, and I am drooling copiously in anticipation of devouring them!
Ah. Laura just sent me this photograph of delicacies given her by a co-worker. YUM! I eagerly await her use of these items in future meals!

IBM PC Day and Enjoy!
IBM PC Day - 1981: IBM introduced the 5150 personal computer. It swept away the competition and effectively had the field to itself. Enjoy! - Relax and enjoy these images and videos!

For an operating system, IBM first went to Digital Research, which had developed CP/M. When Digital Research declined, IBM went to a small firm known for microcomputer adaptations of Basic: Microsoft.

Microsoft bought the rights to Seattle Computer Products' QDOS. QDOS became PC-DOS and later MS-DOS.

Before 1980, IBM made only mini and mainframe computers. The old-line firm was not sure that the fledgling microcomputer market would be at all profitable.

But once the company decided to act, it developed the 5150 in less than a year at its Boca Raton, Florida, facility. IBM selected Intel's 8-to-16-bit 8088 processor.

National Caviar Day
National Caviar Day - Caviar is salted fish eggs, or "roe." Relax and Enjoy! - Savor your caviar and enjoy these graphics and videos!

It is considered a delicacy. Caviar is enjoyed by the upper class and those of us who occasionally can afford a little.

Russian Caviar is reputed to be the very best, most sought-after of all caviar. There is red caviar and black caviar, along with other colors. Black is considered the best. Beluga Caviar is deemed the best of the best.

The most prestigious, and best caviar comes from sturgeon found in the Caspian Sea. But other fish, including whitefish and salmon, are less expensive alternatives.

Laura brought these beautiful tomatoes and squash home from the garden at Sierra Nevada BC. It is a wonderful garden, and she often delights me with produce from it!

Wrong Way Corrigan Day, Peach Ice Cream Day, and Be Entertained
Wrong Way Corrigan Day - Today, we celebrate Wrong Way Corrigan Day. Douglas "Wrong Way" Corrigan … was an American aviator. In 1938, after a transcontinental flight from Long Beach, California, to New York, he flew from Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, New York, to Ireland, even though he was supposed to be returning to Long Beach. Peach Ice Cream Day - Today is also Peach Ice Cream Day. I do not intend to take any wrong turns today. In particular, I shall avoid unintentionally traveling to Ireland. I shall, however, snack upon two beautiful peaches Laura lovingly stowed away in my tote.

He claimed that his unauthorized flight was due to a navigational error, caused by heavy cloud cover that obscured landmarks and low-light conditions, causing him to misread his compass.

Corrigan’s “error” caught the imagination of the American public and inspired many jokes. The nickname "Wrong Way Corrigan" passed into common use and is still mentioned (or used as satire) when someone has the reputation for taking the wrong direction.

Peaches are one of the best flavors of the summer season. People wait for about 48 weeks for the peach harvest to ripen. And, when it does, for a few short weeks, its "peach everything!" In celebration of the harvest, the ice cream companies make peach ice cream. It is difficult to find other times of the year. Most major ice cream makers only produce it during the summer.

Hair Today Gone Tomorrow, Petting a Porcupine, and Google Nexus Smartwatch
Hair Today Gone Tomorrow - The title of this should be, "Hair Yesterday Gone Today," but that lacked the cadence I desired. Petting a Porcupine - I openly admit never to have petted a porcupine. Here, however, is someone who has:
Laura determined it was time that I shed my winter hair and address spring with trimmed locks.
Here I am prior to the shearing:

Here is the vast mound of hair that fell to the floor during the shearing:

Here I am, sporting my welcoming spring hair:

Here is the Google Nexus Smartwatch:
