    Born on this Day in History: March 7, 1970 - Rachel Weisz began her career on stage in a student drama group at college. After appearing on television, notably on the BBC series "Scarlet and Black" with Ewan McGregor, Weisz made her cinematic debut in 1995's Chain Reaction. She followed with a riveting performance as a spoiled teenager in Bernado Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty. Weisz won an Academy Award for her role in The Constant Gardener.






    On this Day in History: March 7, 1990 - The CIA stages a fake satellite explosion of a KH-11 spy satellite code named Misty which was in low earth orbit. Both American and Russian sources reported Misty's destruction, but amateur astronomers have shown that this was a deception to allow it to achieve a higher, less detectable orbit.
