On this day in history: February 14, 1968 - Nerve gas leaks from the U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, near Skull Valley Utah. The gas killed 1600 sheep on the Goshute indian reservation and made hundreds more sick. Dugway is a test center for chemical and biological agents.

Born on this day in history: February 14, 1947 - Billy Crystal (1947– ) Born in Long Beach, NY, actor and comedian Billy Crystal played TV's first openly gay character in comedy series Soap, before moving to such films as "Throw Momma From The Train" (1987) and "City Slicker" (1991).

The rain that was forecast for yesterday did not appear! By early afternoon, the day had become sunny and warm. This morning, the sky appears clear, and it is warm for this time of day (6:30 AM). Perhaps the storm that was predicted has gone elsewhere!
