No Socks Day, In the News, Food, and Enjoy

No Socks Day - Today is No Socks Day!

No Socks Day is a day to free your toes of the confines of socks and stocking.
Give those toes of yours a breath of fresh air.

No Socks Day will reduce your laundry load and is healthful for the environment.

It is easy to participate in No Socks Day: Just leave your socks and stocking off, and let your toes enjoy a moment in the sun!

Note: While washing your feet prior to participating in No Socks Day is a requirement, painting your toe nails is completely optional.

Food - I enjoyed an apple, a tangerine, and some strawberries whilst I toiled over today's blog post.

Laura produced meatloaf cupcakes last evening. They were delicious! The meatloaf is made with ground turkey and shredded zucchini, and the "frosting" is made from garlic mashed potatoes.

Laura had intended to produce a large quantity of these creatures and have them accompany her to a party. It was 9 PM when the "test batch" was completed, and she estimated it would be midnight or later if she were to produce a large batch. She decided it was not practical. We enjoyed some of the test batch for breakfast this morning.

Laura placed the remaining meatloaf mixture in a Pyrex dish, spread diced carrots and peas over it, spread the mashed potato mixture atop this, and we shall have it for dinner Friday evening.
