A man (Matthew McConaughey) confesses to an FBI agent (Powers Boothe) his family's story of how his religious fanatic father's (Bill Paxton) visions lead to a series of murders to destroy supposed "demons."
I recommend the movie—with the express caveat that viewers must be prepared to give full attention to viewing it. One must follow the action closely else one is likely to become very confused.

Friday, we had to say, "Goodbye for now" to our beloved Thor. He has been unwell and in great pain. He is now pain-free, illness-free, and enjoying the company of other pets at the Rainbow Bridge.

Kawindya is six years old. She was born on the same day as Laura—July 31. Kawindya lives with her father and her mother and two siblings in Sri Lanka.

The story: A snobby musical theater camp is terrorized by a blood-thirsty killer who hates musical theater.
The Stars: Minnie Driver, Meat Loaf
The plot (what there is of it, that is!) is insipid. The acting is amateurish. The action is predictable. Those are the movies good points!
It would easily have sufficed were the film to rest upon the nadir it reaches by the plot, acting, and action, but it does not stop there: Throughout the movie, the cast suddenly bursts into song and dance routines that are frighteningly ridiculous.
It is a true testament to my ability to withstand pain that I was able to watch the entirety of this abysmal movie!

The bhut jolokia, also known as naga jolokia, naga morich, bih jolokia, ghost pepper, ghost chili pepper, red naga chili, and ghost chili is an interspecific hybrid chili pepper cultivated in the Indian states of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur.
In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the ghost pepper was the world's hottest chili pepper, 401.5 times hotter than Tabasco sauce; the ghost chili is rated at more than 1 million Scoville heat units (SHUs).
Classic Tabasco sauce ranges from 2,500 to 5,000 SHUs. However, as of 2012, it was superseded by the Trinidad moruga scorpion.
I adore habanero peppers and enjoy them often. I have been eager to enjoy a ghost pepper, and one can, then, imagine my eagerness to devour one of these delightful creatures.
It was lunchtime, so I gingerly removed a ghost pepper from its bag and sliced it into several sections and tossed them upon my brat sammie.
NOTHING could have prepared me for the ensuing assault upon my tongue, the palpitations, and the perspiration! These peppers are INSANE!!! They are also very tasty!!!

Gran Torino, In the News, and Enjoy
Gran Torino - Although I am much a fan of Clint Eastwood, I had not viewed Gran Torino prior to last evening. I cannot explain why last evening was my first viewing of the film, but I declare it was all I anticipated it to be—based upon YouTube clips, reviews, and recommendations from acquaintances. Disgruntled Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) sets out to reform his neighbor, a Hmong teenager who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possession: a 1972 Gran Torino.
The film co-stars Christopher Carley, Bee Vang, and Ahney Her. This was Clint Eastwood's first starring role since 2004's Million Dollar Baby.
The film features a large Hmong American cast, as well as one of Eastwood's younger sons, Scott Eastwood. Eastwood's oldest son, Kyle Eastwood, provided the score.
Gran Torino was a critical and commercial success, grossing nearly $270 million worldwide (making it Eastwood's most successful film to date).
