Harvest Festival Tonight, Harvest Christian Center will host the annual Harvest Festival. The weather forecasts this morning look very favorable for this event! It rained lightly throughout the night. There is no wind, and it is not raining presently. It is forecast to rain on and off during the morning and clear for the afternoon—with a chance of very light rain this afternoon and heavy rain after midnight. If this forecast proves accurate, the Harvest Festival should not be in any peril!

The weather looks good for weekend grilling! The weatherpeople forecast temperatures in the mid-to-high 80s for this weekend. Today is sunny, the sky is blue and clear, and the birds are singing. It is forecast to be in the high 70s today and warming through the weekend. This will be great weather for outdoor activities! My brother is coming to dinner tomorrow. We shall grill New York strip steaks. Sunday, we intend to go for a journey in Mr. Nitro and perhaps a nature trek and photo expedition. If sufficient energy remains following this excursion, I intend to wash Mr. Nitro.

For dinner last evening, I removed the meat from the half rack of baby back ribs that remained from last Saturday's dinner. I added it to the leftover red beans and rice from that meal and allowed it to simmer for an hour. I warmed flour tortillas. It was a delightful meal.

As a safe, Christian alternative to the Satanic celebration of Halloween, Harvest Christian Center will host the annual Harvest Festival. Everyone is invited to attend the Thirteenth Annual Free Harvest Festival, 5 PM to 9 PM, Harvest Christian Center, 1006 Sixth Street, Corning. Lots of candy, toys, games, chili, cookies and popcorn, pony rides, and bouncing castles. Free drawing for adults 18 years and older. For further information, please call 530-824-2091. This is an excellent event that traditionally attracts several thousand attendees. Laura baked ten dozen cookies for this event last evening. She shall be operating the fishing booth game, and I shall be photographing the event.
