Born on this day in history: February 5, 1934 - Hank Aaron (1934 - ) Born in Mobile, Alabama, baseball player Hank Aaron is best known for breaking Babe Ruth's legendary home-run record. Known as "Hammerin' Hank," Aaron was baseball's Home Run King for 33 years, until it was broken by Barry Bonds in 2006. Aaron was granted the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002 for his contributions to baseball.
