Born on this Day in History: April 6, 1976 - Actress Candace Cameron was born in Panorama City, California. She was the daughter of a talent agent and sister of Kirk Cameron’s sister. At the age of 11, she landed the role of D.J. Tanner on Full House that launched her career. She married NHL player Valeri Cameron in 1996 and had three children together. She works with Christian organizations and has a major role on ABC’s "Make It or Break It."

On this Day in History: April 6, 1868 - Mormon prophet Brigham Young marries 23-year-old Ann Eliza Webb. This is Young's 27th wife, 18 of which are still married to him.

Born on this Day in History: April 4, 1915 - Born in Mississippi, McKinley Morganfield got the name Muddy Waters because he played in a creek as a boy. He grew up immersed in the Delta blues, and was first recorded by archivist Alan Lomax. In 1943 he moved to Chicago and began playing in clubs. A record deal followed, and hits like "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man" and "Rollin' Stone" made him an iconic Chicago blues man.

On this Day in History: April 4, 1958 - Lana Turner's 14-year-old daughter stabs her mother's boyfriend. A coroner's jury finds she committed justifiable homicide.

Born on this Day in History: April 3, 1924 - Marlon Brando was born in Omaha, Nebraska. After early promise in the 1940s and 50s, including a legendary performance in the film version of A Streetcar Named Desire, Brando's film career had more downs than up until his starring role in The Godfather. Later, he received huge salaries for small parts. He became known for self-indulgence but was always respected for his finest work.

On this Day in History: April 3, 1882 - Notorious outlaw Jesse James is shot and killed in his own home for a $5,000 reward. The assailants are Charles and Robert Ford, both members of the James gang.

On this Day in History: April 2, 1459 - Vlad the Impaler impales thousands of merchants and burghers of the town of Brasov, in Transylvania. Some estimate as many as 30,000 impalements, but it was probably more on the order of 2,000.
